Captain Spiro

The most feared pirate of the Seven Seas! I’ve enjoyed every minute of this project because it taught me the true meaning of reference gathering. Instead of searching for something which looks ‘Cool‘ or ‘Unique‘, I delved into the history and how it began. I started looking into pirates from the 18th century, educating myself with the type of uniforms worn, popular colours, type of pistols, girdles, cutlasses, etc.

‘Captain Spyro‘ was one of my favourite projects I’ve worked on, it was a very informative experience.​ A piece I've done a couple of years back.
